Yogaville

Last weekend I went to Yogaville (Satchidananda Ashram in Virginia) to meet Erich Shiffmann. It was my first Yogaville trip and first time meeting Erich. Yogaville was just what I expected, but even prettier. I loved the Lotus Shrine. And upstairs in the meditation room you can feel the energy of all the other yogis who had meditated in the space.

I met some nice yogis and saw some familiar faces. Erich’s classes were what I call gentle yoga. We began with meditation and ended with meditation and there was a meditation or tow in the middle. We were on the floor a lot of the time. We practiced his heavy handed dog vinyasa, timings and lightening bolt pattern. But he also offered freedom style yoga- where you get to do whatever you want.

It really enjoyed meeting and practicing with Erich.
