A restorative afternoon at Seeking Indigo

After a long couple of weeks I finally had an afternoon free to do whatever I wanted…I had heard that Seeking Indigo, a wellness center located on King Street, was having a special on some of their wellness services for July. The special included a Ionic “Detox” Foot Bath, 30 minutes of rejuvenation on the Migun Bed, and another 30 minutes in the Far Infrared Sauna. The front of Seeking Indigo is a home and clothing store and then you walk through these beautiful wooden doors into their wellness center.

Ionic Foot Bath at Seeking Indigo

This was my first experience with an Ionic Foot Bath. It made my feet tingle immediately. I sat there (relaxed and drinking chilled lemon water) for 20 minutes while toxins were being removed from the soles of my feet. The brown color was a sign of toxins releasing from in my liver.I will definitely try a Foot Bath again!

The Migun Bed was great. I knew what kind of restoration I was in for this time. Meredith, tucked me in the bed and then gave me ear phones and an ipod. The music couldn’t have been more perfect. It was the sound of a waterfall and and Tibetan Bells.

I thought I knew what to expect with the Far Infrared Sauna. Seeking Indigo knows how to make this a spa like experience. Alex brought me back to the Sauna, filled my lemon water, showed me wear my robe and towel were and then left me for 30 minutes. She did say she would be back half way through with a chilled wash cloth. Wow was I happy to see her in 15 minutes. The chilled wash cloth came in a bowl of chipped ice and smelled like Eucalyptus.

The three services are $65 in July and you end up saving $20. I was there for a almost 2 hours. I left with a large can of coconut water and yummy Hummus and Falafel Plate from the the Sprout. The Sprout has a grab and go stand filled with raw vegan snacks and meals inside the store! The decor and ambiance were enough to make me feel totally relaxed.  And combine that with my wellness package I left completely blissed out.

The Ionic detox foot baths are absolutley amazing, I highly suggest using them! They have helped a lot of people, including my mother. Do at least 10 treatments and see how you feel. Most people will feel more energized and a greater sense of well-being.
