Folly Beach, 6th Block

Surfing is more than a sport, it is a way of life. Similar to how yoga is not exercise it is a way to be completely in the moment and to connect. After a 4 year hiatus I was ready to get back in the water, but with a little help. I called Jenny Brown, an amazing surfer and yoga teacher to find out when Shaka Surf School’s next Wemoon’s Weekend was happening (small group lesson). I was only able to attend one day of the weekend session, but loved it! Tropical Storm Alberto was off the cost making conditions a little rough.  But we went out and had a blast. I cannot wait to get back out there!

Jenny teaches all ages and all levels. She is an inspiration and I can still hear her yelling “Stay clam!” as I paddle into the first wave of the morning. Thanks Jenny!!
